One way to get to know someone is by a story. Sarah and Dawn are writing theirs yesterday, today and tomorrow. They want to take you on their adventure and let you read their book start to finish.

Sarah: Told by Dawn
It's hard to a put a person into words, especially one so complex as Sarah, but I'll try. Sarah is the most... interestingly confusing person I think i've ever met. I would say "known", but that just isn't the right word. The only way to get to know her is through experience. She's tough and independent. She's carefree of others opinions but sensitive to wanting people to care for her. She's sweet and open minded. Headstrong and opinionated. Sarah lives life for herself. Some may call that selfish.
I call that beautiful.
How many people can say that they've walked away from one life filled with what society says we must have to start a life that is purely their own? One where they must be strong for themselves and support themselves? Meet Sarah. She's given up one life in pursuit of her dreams. That involves heartbreak and sacrifice. That involves strength.
And not to say Sarah is alone in her life. No, she's got friends and family. But she's defnitely a loner. She finds beauty in her independence and strength in her solitude. As someone who has been constantly surrounded by people her entire life, I admire that.
I live vicariously through Sarah. She has lived in a life that I dreamed of and never pursued. When we were talking in that coffee shop, and she told me that we should just drive, I wasn't at all surprised at how quickly I said, "Lets go." What was once a dream, she wanted to help bring to reality for me.
I can't say that anyone else has ever been so deadset on me getting away from my life, all of my life, like she is. And I thank her for that.
Sarah is teaching me to be selfish. Sarah is teaching me to live. Without her, there's just no way this trip would happen.
This roadtrip is Sarah's chance to give someone else the experience of a lifetime.
About Us: Told by Josh (Dawn's Husband)
Rules: Josh creates and asks questions, then writes down word for word our responses.
Dawn

How many kids do you want?
My First Response was zero. But.... Maybe?
Would you rather explore space or the ocean?
Uh the ocean. Duh. You already knew that though
What is your Social Security Number?
None of yo damn business. I'm not that dumb.
If you had to live somewhere besides Earth, where would you live?
*laughs* Um, second Earth? We'll make a new Earth, right? Does the ocean count? Um. Yeah.
Would you rather visit the past or the future? How far?
*sigh* I would probably go into the future as not to relive all of my embarrassing moments. I already do that enough. As to how far: probably past when I would be dead just so I can see what it would be like.
What is your spirit animal?
I'm my own spirit animal. Mermaids.
Do you think Josh is cute?
Nah, I think he's sexy. So maybe yes. We could get it on while Sarah's out there. Are you writing that? That was between you and me.
How long could you live with eachother?
If we're in good moods, forever. If we're in bad moods, I wouldn't even try. I wouldn't even make it to the door. This trip will be interesting.
What super power would you like to have?
Hmmm... the ability to breathe underwater, the ability to fly the ability to be awesome...
What's your favorite word?
No. Specificity. Ecstatic. Um.... Specificity isn't really one of my favorite words. Looooove because I wanna be cheesy. And... Mother trucker. Oh and fuck.
What is your least favorite word?
Josh. Just kidding. Um... [Long pause] *laughs* That's my answer.
Who would you most like to meet? Dead or alive?
Taylor swift.TAYLOR SWIFT! I'm not emotionally prepared for that. And Lorde. And the girl from Echosmith. I forget her name off the top of my head but she's fucking awesome. And Taylor Swift. Again.
What's the smallest amount of money you would shave your head for?
The smallest? I don't know, I once paid to do that. I mean, if I'm gonna get money from it, I'd make it high, but I'd probably do it anyway. Who the fuck needs hair?
What's your favorite book?
What is my favorite book... I gotta make it sound all smart and stuff so people don't judge me. Um... [long pause] Peter Rabbit. and the Shel Silverstein books
What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
I ate a chocolate covered cricket once. It was gross.
What is your favorite smell?
Um... *laughs* Your (Josh's) natural body odor... The good one, not the bad one. Um... And coffee, Good coffee.
What is your biggest Pet peeve?
I've never answered this question. When people try to tell me what to do. I rule mah own life. Even if they're like not telling me what to do, but I think they're telling me what to do. that's pretty damn annoying.
Sarah

How many kids do you want?
None. Absolutely not. But if I have a girl ever, I would name her Willow.
Would you rather explore space or the ocean?
Um… Space. I think it’s pretty.
What is your Social Security Number?
Why do you wanna know? Are you a spy? You’re not a very good spy.
If you had to live somewhere besides Earth, where would you live?
Um… No don’t do those. Don’t type my thinking sounds. *Laughs* [extremely long pause] Gallifrey would be pretty cool, but I would want to be a time lord too.
Would you rather visit the past or the future? How far?
There’s so many things. Um… So many questions that are unanswered. Well since I’m a time lord, I could just go through like both past and future so I think that this question’s irrelevant.
What is your spirit animal?
*Gasp* No! Not this one! [long pause] I mean I would definitely say a cat would be one of them but cats are so domestic. I would want something cool like… I don’t know. A platypus would be cool. That’s so random. Or a narwhal…. Narwhal hahaha. That’s like the unicorn of the sea. Don’t put that. That’s stupid. I KNOW A FOX! That would be cool. The one with the white fur.
Do you think Josh is cute?
*giggles* Yessss… In a cute nerdy type of way. He’s very smart.
How long could you live with eachother?
Dawn and I? Honestly, I think we’re gonna make it about 4 days and then get sick of eachother. But we’re gonna try our best not to.
What super power would you like to have?
Uh. Teleportation because I like travelling and that would make travelling way easier.
What's your favorite word?
[thinking sounds] I’m actually drawing a blank. I can’t even think of words. *laughs* I really like the word Calypso. I don’t know what the actual definition is, but I know it’s a type of dance move, I just think it’s a really pretty word.
What's your least favorite word?
Um. Um is a really awful word and it haunts me. … And moist. Moist is bad.
Who would you most like to meet? Dead or alive?
Um, I mean this might sound cliche, but I really would like to meet Audrey Hepburn. She’s definitely a role model of mine. I’d like to ask her about her life and the things that she’s done. I would like to have just one conversation with her. That would be amazing.
What's the smallest amount of money you would shave your head for?
You know I almost shaved my head for a $50 gift card for target. But it was only half of my head. I mean if someone would pay for college, then I would definitely shave my head.
What's your favorite book?
Um… The Lovely Bones was really good. I really enjoyed that book. I read Chronicles of Narnia growing up.
What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
[weird face] One time, I woke up and I was hungry but I was poor and I didn’t have any food, but I had some leftover queso and some twizzlers, so I dipped the twizzlers in the queso and had that for breakfast.
What is your favorite smell?
Oh, um… Agua di Gio. Amazing. I love the smell of rain too. Thunderstorms. I love thunderstorms. So put “Agua di Gio. Amazing.” But if we’re going for something more natural, put thunderstorms.
What is your biggest Pet peeve?
When you’re in the car and the driver is texting. I don’t like that the driver is putting other peoples' lives in danger. And I hate when you’re sitting next to somebody who’s bouncing their leg and making the whole floor shake.
Dawn: Told by Sarah
If I had to use two words to describe Dawn, they would be tethered wanderer.
I'd say she is probably the most caring person I've ever met. She's 22 years old and she's already raised 12 kids (her siblings.) She has more close friends than most people, and it amazes me how much she truly works to keep her friends close. She is considered the "responsible one," and "the mother figure." Not only does she balance school, a life with her husband, and a Job, She also balances everybody else's crazy schedules to fit with her own. Within this past year, she's helped two of her friends with having babies while she's the Maid of Honor in another friend's wedding. She has dealt with family issues and job issues, while balancing her friend's family and job issues as well. She takes on so much.
But at the same time, Dawn is a wanderer. She wants to discover, she wants to travel the world. She wants to have fun. She wants to be free. I mean, who doesn't?
As I was sitting in a coffee shop with Dawn one morning, listening to her talk about all the things happening in not only her life, but all of her friends' lives, I realized how lucky I was. I've lived an independent life. The only struggles I've dealt with are my own. I've had chances to travel and to discover. Call me selfish, but as a 21 year old I feel as though this is the prime time to establish myself as a person.
Dawn hasn't had that chance.
I've heard so many people tell me to "do things while you're young, Don't live life with regrets."
So, I became the catalyst to all this madness.
That morning in the coffee shop, I said that we should just go. Just drive. Get away from all the chaos of this thing we call "life" and actually live for once. So, we decided to take this road trip.
Here's a chance to find the child Dawn never got to be. To Search for the person she wants to be. To grasp the adventure that is in her heart.
This roadtrip is Dawn's chance to just BE.
